The leading manufacturers and producers of products and systems for preventative technical fire protection in Germany are members of bvfa – Bundesverband Technischer Brandschutz e. V. The member companies are organised into the following groups:

• Water and special extinguishing equipment: Member companies include only VdS approved installers for these types of systems.

• Components: Manufacturers of VdS approved fire protection technology products.

• Activation: Members include only VdS approved companies for activating and installing stationary extinguishing equipment.

• Fire extinguishing equipment industry: Member companies have training centres to train specialists and produce fire extinguishing systems in line with thelatest technological advances.

• Manufacturers of extinguishing agents: Members are made up of producers of extinguishing solutions that operate in Germany; supplying manufacturers of fire extinguishing equipment and systems for fire fighting services.

• Extinguishing water technology: Member companies plan and install stationary extinguishing water technology in buildings (e.g. filling and emptying stations, wall hydrants).

• Structural fire protection: Members are renowned leading manufacturers and processors of technical fire protection products for preventative structural fire protection.
